A beauty salon website where clients book themselves

The client picks a service, a stylist and a free slot from her phone, pays a deposit and gets a Telegram reminder. The front desk stops copying bookings out of DMs, and a stylist’s slot no longer sits empty because someone forgot.

People choose a salon by three things: the stylist’s work, the price and how quickly they can book. So we build the site around the price list and booking. Every service has a starting price and a duration, every stylist has their work and schedule, and the «Book» button is on every screen. BeautySalon markup helps Google show the salon in search and on the map.

  • Fixed estimate after a brief
  • Speed measured before handover
  • Reply within 2 hours on working days
  • The stylist’s work Clients choose by examples. On the site every stylist has a page with before-and-after work.
  • Price People want the price before booking: a list with starting prices and durations instead of «DM us».
  • Booking speed People book at once, often in the evening: a free slot from a phone in a minute, around the clock.

A salon website: from scratch or fix the one you have

Pick your situation — below you can see what we do in each.

No website yet

Bookings come through DMs, Viber and calls, and some get lost in the evening We pick the format for your salon: a site-card for a studio, a corporate site for a salon with several services or a chain
It is unclear what to choose: Instagram only, a ready template, a builder or a studio A site with prices, stylists and online booking; price and timeline are in the contract before we start
It is unclear what a salon website costs and what it includes We write the copy; you approve the prices and service descriptions

A site exists, but bookings are few

There is a site, yet clients still write in DMs We review the site for free: where clients get lost and what to fix
Prices are outdated, booking is missing or awkward on a phone We fix or rebuild it: prices, online booking, speed, service pages
The site is slow, and the salon does not show up in Google for its services We keep the domain and Google rankings and redirect old addresses to new ones

Where a salon loses clients — and what the site does about it

Five steps from search to visit. At each one some people go to the salon next door because what they need is not visible at once.

  1. Searches nearby

«Manicure near me» in Google Maps: photos, rating, address.

Leaves if:the profile has no link to a site or booking, only photos.

The site does:we link the site to the Google Maps profile and build service pages for such searches.

  2. Checks prices

Opens the site or Instagram to see what it costs.

Leaves if:prices «by DM» or a price list two years old.

The site does:a price list with a starting price and duration for every service; you edit prices yourself.

  3. Picks a stylist

    Before-and-after work, experience, reviews.

Leaves if:the work is only on Instagram, none on the site.

The site does:every stylist gets a page with experience and work.

  4. Books

Wants to pick a time right away, often in the evening after work.

Leaves if:booking only by phone or DM, and the reply comes in the morning.

The site does:online booking of a free slot from a phone, no call, around the clock.

  5. Shows up

Gets a reminder the day before.

Leaves if:no deposit and no reminder: she forgets and the slot is lost.

The site does:a deposit at booking and a Telegram reminder with a reschedule button.

What empty slots cost you

Put in your own numbers: how many visits fall through each week and your salon’s average ticket.

You lose per month

516 $

Per year 6,192 $

This is arithmetic on your numbers, not our forecast. Move the sliders to match your schedule.

Online booking for a salon: what it looks like

The first screen of a beauty studio site from our case study. The numbers mark what leads a client to book.

A beauty studio website with online booking on a laptop and a phone
  1. The nearest free slot The site shows the nearest time and service right away, so booking starts without scrolling.
  2. The booking button is always there «Book» sits in the header on every screen.
  3. Prices in one click A starting price and duration for every service instead of «DM us».
  4. Booking around the clock A client books in the evening or at night, and the confirmation arrives in Telegram.
  5. The same on a phone Prices, stylists and booking work with one hand.

How much a beauty salon website costs

A studio or a solo stylist usually needs a site-card: prices, stylists and booking. A salon with several services or a chain is better served by a corporate site with separate pages for services and branches.

Site-card

One to three pages so people find you in Google and write to you directly. Up to 3 pages is a card site; from 5 pages the corporate direction begins.

Site, booking and reminders: how they work together

A client finds the salon in Google or on the map, sees the price and books herself. The booking lands in the stylist’s calendar, the reminder goes out in Telegram, and you see where your clients came from.

  1. What your customer sees

    • Finds the salon in Google search and on the map
    • Sees prices and stylists’ work without messaging
    • Books a free slot with a deposit
  2. What runs inside

The bundle has no price of its own: each part can be ordered separately, at the price of its tier.

  3. What you get

    • Bookings sit in the stylists’ calendars, not in a notebook
    • Confirmations and reminders go out by themselves
    • You see how many clients came from Google
Before

Bookings came through DMs, Viber and calls and were copied into a notebook.

After

A booking lands in the stylist’s calendar at once, and the reminder arrives the day before.

Case: Beauty studio, Lviv
Forecast

Part of the bookings moves from DMs and calls to online within the first weeks, and deposits and reminders reduce no-shows.

A guide, not a promise: the actual figure depends on your niche, traffic and how fast your team replies.

The price was higher than I had set aside. A freelancer had promised a store for half the money, but before him two of my shop windows simply did not take payments. Half my enquiries were lost in DMs because I did not open them for weeks — I see them all now. Edits go into the Telegram chat, a day or two and it is done.

The price was higher than what I had set aside, and at first I did not want to agree. A freelancer before them had promised a turnkey store for half the money, but before him I had two shop windows where the payment simply did not go through. For the first days it annoyed me that there was nothing to look at: they asked about stock and about where an order is supposed to land, and showed no mockups. Then it turned out half my enquiries were getting lost in DMs because I did not open them for weeks. I see all of them now. Edits go into the Telegram chat, a day or two and it is done.

Two London agencies quoted double and both wanted a January start. These ones started in November. I did not manage to defend the parallax on the case page — and rightly, on a phone it would have been a mess. The site never went down once during the raise. Mail sent at 23:40 gets an answer within the hour, I checked three times.

Two London agencies quoted double and both wanted a January start. These ones started in November. I did not manage to defend the parallax on the case page — they talked me out of it, and rightly, because on a phone it would have been a mess. In fact the site never went down once during the raise and nothing surprising happened at the finish, although we fought with the analytics for one evening. Mail sent at 23:40 gets an answer within the hour, I checked three times.

Mark S. CEO, investment firm
I needed one page with booking, nothing cosmic. Three weeks, on budget. I cannot say how many bookings there are now — I still keep them in a notebook, the way I always did — but at night the phone finally stays quiet.

Aggregators took 15% even on the nights we brought in ourselves from Instagram. Aggregators took 15% commission even on the nights we had brought in ourselves from Instagram, and that annoyed us more than anything else. With our own booking the main fear was that it would break in the middle of the season. It has not, although for the first month I checked every request by hand. Guests say they find us on Google. We re-shot the photos twice, and that one was on us: the first set came out dark, and January has very little daylight. I change the holiday prices myself now, they taught me.

Ірина С. hotel manager, Carpathians
They costed the budget at the start and never changed it — probably the main thing I can say. I ordered the site to put a link to it in client contracts, and I am not ashamed of it. At weekends replies are slow, sometimes until Monday. I allow for that now, but it would have been useful to know in advance — nobody told me.

Forty sellers, payments reconciled in spreadsheets. For months I could not get a straight answer on what marketplace development costs — everywhere it was an MVP first, six months, then we see. Here they built a single cart with split payments in 18 weeks. I did not sleep before launch because I was afraid the money would go to the wrong sellers. The first year brought 8.2 million hryvnias in turnover, although that is certainly not down to the site alone. And one more thing: they worked out when it would pay off instead of how many hours it takes, and talked us out of a cashback we did not need yet.

Наталія К. co-founder, marketplace
I am in Manchester, so I braced for timezone problems and for explaining everything twice. None of it happened — in Slack they answered faster than my local contractor. The store is in English and runs without hiccups. The one thing I can hold against them: the mailing list only came up in the third week, though I had asked from the start.

I do not understand why it is so expensive. I asked for a site for ten dollars because a mate does them in an evening. Instead: a contract, stages, an audit first. They costed a domain, email, a forty product catalogue and payments — forty five thousand. Why would I need that much, I can build it on a builder for five hundred. I left one star so people do not believe a website costs as much as a phone.

I do not understand why it is so expensive. I asked for a site for ten dollars, because a mate of mine does them in an evening, with animation. Half a year we argued over a CRM or Excel, and paid for three tools that do not talk to each other. We launched, and the first month my managers pretended nothing had changed. Half a year we argued over whether we needed a CRM or Excel, and we paid for three tools that do not talk to each other: deals in a spreadsheet, the owner without margin, the warehouse writing on WhatsApp. We launched, and for the first month my managers pretended nothing had changed, because the old way was more comfortable. The payment screen was rebuilt three times, and there the question is on them — nobody asked us how we work. Now from lead to shipment it is all in one window instead of three. Calls are recorded, and it finally came out which of my people had promised somebody a discount.

Hi! I’m from the DEXA team. Pick a question — I’ll answer right away, no “a manager will call you back”.

Does this work for a cosmetologist or a nail artist?

Yes. A cosmetologist or a solo artist often needs one to three pages: services with prices and durations, work, certificates and online booking.

That is the site-card format — prices are in the plans above.

Does a salon need a website if it has Instagram?

Instagram shows the work well but answers two questions badly: how much it costs and when there is a free slot.

A site adds prices, booking a free time and pages Google shows for searches like «manicure near me».

Instagram stays: the booking button in the profile leads to the site.

How does a website help bring clients to a beauty salon?

A site does not bring people by itself: search, maps and ads do.

The site makes sure the people who arrive actually book, because they see the price, the stylist’s work and a free time.

For search we build separate service pages and BeautySalon markup; for maps, a link with the Google profile.

How much does a beauty salon website cost?

A site-card for a studio and a corporate site for a salon with several services or a chain have different plans — they are above.

The price depends on the number of services and stylists, on where the schedule comes from and on deposits, so we fix the sum after the brief.

The exact price and timeline are in the contract.

Why do clients book and not show up — and what can be done?

Most often the booking had no deposit and no reminder, and the visit is simply forgotten.

On the site the client pays a card deposit when booking (you set the amount and the cancellation rules) and gets a Telegram reminder the day before with a reschedule button.

A ready template or a builder — why not the simpler way?

A template is quick to start, but prices, stylists and booking in it are separate widgets that are hard to fit to your salon, and the site stays on someone else’s platform.

We build the site for your salon: the domain, code and access are yours, and we check speed before handover.

We already use booking software. Do we have to drop it?

No. If the software has a widget or an open API (like Altegio), we connect booking from it, and the schedule stays where you are used to it.

If it does not, we build booking on Google Calendar. We decide this at the brief.

We have a site, but nobody books through it. What do you do?

First we review the site for free: where clients get lost, whether prices are visible, whether booking works on a phone, how fast the page opens.

Often fixing prices, booking and speed is enough; if not, we rebuild it and keep the domain and Google rankings.

Can a client book a specific stylist?

Yes. The client picks a service, a stylist and a free slot from that stylist’s schedule.

The booking goes straight into the calendar, and two bookings for the same time never overlap.

Will the site help the salon appear in Google Maps?

Yes, together with your Google Business profile.

The site provides the address, hours and BeautySalon markup, and service pages work for searches like «manicure near me» or «hair colouring price».
