About the project

A website for a Berlin law firm in three languages, where foreigners see a fixed fee, book a consultation in their own language, send documents and follow their case in a portal without email back-and-forth.

  • Fixed fees Every practice area with services and a “from” price, no fear of hourly billing.
  • Booking and payment Area, language, format and the lawyer’s free slot, with card payment up front.
  • Documents in advance Secure document upload after booking, before the first meeting.
  • Client portal Case status and next steps visible without emailing the lawyer.
01 · The brief

A small Berlin firm handles immigration, company and employment cases for foreigners. The website was German-only, so clients without the language emailed in English or Ukrainian, and the first consultation took weeks to arrange. Fees were not listed anywhere, and people feared hourly billing. During a case clients kept asking what stage it was at, and lawyers spent hours replying.

02 · What we built

We built a company website in German, English and Ukrainian. Each practice area has its own page with services and a fixed “from” fee. Consultation booking covers the area, language, format (video or office) and a free slot from the lawyer’s calendar, with card payment up front that is credited against the fee. After booking the client gets a secure link to upload documents. Case status and next steps are visible in the client portal, so there is no need to ask by email.

  1. Before A German-only site, foreigners email for weeks.

After Three languages and consultation booking with a language choice.

  2. Before Fees unknown, clients fear hourly billing.

After A fixed “from” fee for every practice area.

  3. Before Clients email to ask what stage their case is at.

After Status and next steps in the client portal.

03 · The client’s path

How a person moves through the product, from the first step to the result the business needs.

  1. Finds the practice area

Searches “Blue Card lawyer Berlin” and lands on a page with services and the fee.

  2. Books

Picks a language, format and the lawyer’s free slot, and pays for the consultation.

  3. Sends documents

Uploads them through a secure link before the meeting.

  4. Follows the case

Sees the status and next steps in the client portal.

04 · What is inside the project

  1. The site in German, English and Ukrainian

  2. Practice areas with fixed “from” fees

  3. Consultation booking: area, language, format, free slot

  4. Card payment for the consultation, credited against the fee

  5. Secure document upload before the meeting

  6. A client portal with case status and next steps

Forecast

Within the first 2–3 months, 30–50% of consultations are booked online, the time from first contact to a meeting drops from weeks to 2–3 days, and “what stage is my case at” emails roughly halve. A guideline, not a promise.
